Pomellato For Women activists join Pomellato to encourage us to be “social sentinels” fighting violence against women. March 8th, 2024. In honor of International Women’s Day, Pomellato again teams up with Jane Fonda and other international activists for the 7th annual Pomellato for Women video, its pressing message denouncing the persistent problem of violence against women and encouraging us all to be ‘social sentinels’ who speak up for change. Across every culture on Earth, almost 1 in every 3 women have experienced some form of violence – usually carried out by a male partner or family member. With a destructive ripple effect, this is an issue that effects every one of us.

Pomellato joins an impressive cast of glass-ceiling breakers to launch its annual International Women’s Day video with a message promoting freedom. Actress, activist and 'Pomellato Godmother' Jane Fonda participates alongside American actress Joey King, Italian volleyball champion Paola Egonu, and Iranian rock climber Nasim Eshqi for a discussion with Pomellato CEO Sabina Belli about how freedom has been under dangerous threat in today’s world, how women are disproportionally implicated in the fight for freedoms, and how, together, we need to speak up, rise up, and act now. Taking action, Pomellato announces a charity campaign that benefits the survivors of domestic violence. Dismantling the link between intimate partner violence and financial insecurity, the L.A.-based FreeFrom builds pathways to financial security and long-term safety for abuse survivors.
